:: Absolutely Incredible Kid Day ::

One of the best things about daycare is that I get kid-decorated eggs at Easter, a Valentine with Evan's handprint on it for Valentine's Day, and strange stains on Evan's clothing.  Also, Evan gets to play with other kids his age, which he seems to really enjoy.

But there are also things like Absolutely Incredible Kid Day.  Evan's daycare celebrated this day today and had all the parents write letters to their kids.  As our letter says, Brian and I tell Evan all the time how much we love him, and why, but things like letter-writing would get lost in the day-to-day shuffle of getting dressed, changing diapers, playing peek-a-boo, and learning to self-feed.

I, for one, am glad that someone reminded us that we should sit down and write this.
