i've been amazed how much beautiful photography there is out there that's licensed under a creative commons license (meaning it's available for you to download and use (legally!) in various applications). i've been featuring images on my now-on-hiatus design blog but now i'm bringing that feature over to up up, the blog.

how do you find the pictures? I am making a calendar and would like some pictures that I can use after I put in all my other pictures.
i find them by searching flickr, mostly. i've compiled a group with almost 300 photos in it that you can check out. lots of amazing stuff you could use for a calendar.

I thought the same thing when I was researching free music recently for a video. I couldn't believe how much work people were willing to put into something they got nothing back from. Well, I shouldn't say "nothing" Anyway, my point was, it was really amazing.
