:: Masochism ::

I've been away from the computer a lot this week because we've been super busy here. We just put in an offer on a house (waiting to hear) and have been working our butts off trying to get our own condo ready to show. It honestly didn't need all that much work -- finishing touches on the basement refinishing/remodeling project we've been working on since March and some major weeding out of all the crap we've accumulated, much of which is now sitting in a storage facility nearby getting as much use as it got while it lived with us -- but with a not-quite-six-week-old baby around and all that comes with that, it felt like a major uphill battle getting this place ready for our realtor to come by today.

It's 10:32 at night now and Brian's still not back from the last trip (today's last trip, I should say) to the storage place. Needless to say, it's been a long night that followed a long day that ended a very long week.

And I'm super excited and very hopeful that this place we've offered on works out because at our low price range, there's not much we can find that we would actually deign to live in. But seriously. Could we have worse timing? Are we completely insane? Putting our place on the market and then moving are about as far down the list of things I hoped I would be doing with a newborn baby around as are (a) taking a cross-country road trip, with the baby, in a car without air conditioning and with bad shocks; (b) being arrested and subsequently jailed; and (c) getting bitten by a malaria-ridden mosquito. I can't believe we're doing this.

Are we really doing this?
