:: upstate ::

yeah, this is how we roll in rochester, new york. the mercury (no, really, we have an old mercury thermometer hanging outside our kitchen window, courtesy of 1953) rises above the little line marked "freezing" and we're out riding bikes in the slush.

when evan was a baby and i did this in columbus, ohio, people looked at me like i was beating my child raw in the street for telling me he loved me.

cold air is not child abuse. ask my kiddos. they loved it.

Love the push bike! I can't wait until our little guy is big enough for one--so much better than training wheels!

we love the bike, too. evan has had it since he was maybe a year and a half old or so. for awhile he couldn't really balance it well so we would have to help hold it up while he straddled it and walked. but before his second birthday he was already a pro on it. he holds his feet up and glides, he goes down hills. it's been great and his balance is awesome now.

the website is http://www.stridersports.com/ you should check out the video of the kids riding. crazy.

Seriously we've been complaining that the "warm" weather has been ruining the snow here in Oswego!

Love the perspective that shot is taken at! And I completely agree about getting out in the fresh air - it beats the germs away!
